PennState Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinic CVU - Cardiovascular Unit for a nursing job in Enola, Pennsylvania.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The RN Clinical Staff Leader (CSL) is a fundamental managerial role within Penn State Health, responsible for ensuring the delivery of, safe, effective, high-quality patient care while fostering a culture of excellence within the nursing team. The CSL will be actively involved in clinical care delivery while also assuming leadership responsibilities to support the achievement of optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a combination of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a dedication to continuous process improvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
  • Two (2) years related experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update Smart Square scheduling system as needed.
  • Participate in unit and/or hospital-based committees to contribute to organizational initiatives.
  • Report compliance issues and operational needs to Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager.
  • Follow up on audits and provide support to individuals requiring improvement.
  • Conduct crucial conversations and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary.
  • Share audit trends and best practices during huddles and shared governance meetings.
  • Assist Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Educator with competencies or interview processes as needed.
